From the Reverend Doctor's historic appearance yesterday morning at the National Press Club, via YouTube: Mr. Wright epitomizes a symptom we have often noted in the America-hating left. He is stupid - and smug about it.

Is Jeremiah Wright a colossal disaster for Barack Obama or a press trick?

    FTA

"The Rev. Jeremiah Wright couldn't have done more damage to Barack Obama's campaign if he had tried. And you have to wonder if that's just what one friend of Wright wanted.

It's hard to exaggerate how bad the actual news conference was. Wright, steeped in an honorable, fiery tradition of Bible-based social criticism, cheapened his arguments and his movement by mugging for the cameras, rolling his eyes, heaping scorn on his critics and acting as if nobody in the room was learned enough to ask him a question."

Barbara Reynolds - introduced Monday as a member of the National Press Club "who organized" the event - is an enthusiastic Hillary Clinton supporter.

I think Reverend Wright is going to have some trouble running for public office...

    Not so much Obama.

Cocky.... Something I have never really been admiral of in anyone.

Even though he had some valid points, he seems to have no humility, and as far as his true dedication to God, I know that it is celebrity that that he seeks more than anything.

Mr. Wright also seems to have a chip on his shoulder for having been made black. He is older and has seen a few times when blacks will ill treated, but I highly doubt that he has seen that in quite some time. He is far more used to using that excuse to run rough-shod over other people now.

Obama is in a rough place, he needs association with a non-Muslim religion to make him acceptable, but his pastor is only slightly less vengeful than our Middle-eastern cousins.

I am sick of everyone's song and dance myself, I just want real answers, and real solutions.
